Waiting On Wednesday in a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine in which we discuss an upcoming release that you’re…well…waiting on! And this seems like the perfect excuse to have mini fangirl freakouts over the books I NEED ASAP.
This week, I’m flailing over WIRES AND NERVE
What You Need To Know
Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer; Illustrations by Douglas Holgate
Release Date: January 31st 2017 from Feiwel and Friends
Synopsis: In her first graphic novel, #1 New York Times and USA Today bestseller Marissa Meyer follows Iko, the beloved android from the Lunar Chronicles, on a dangerous and romantic new adventure — with a little help from Cinder and the Lunar team.
In her first graphic novel, bestselling author Marissa Meyer extends the world of the Lunar Chronicles with a brand-new, action-packed story about Iko, the android with a heart of (mechanized) gold. When rogue packs of wolf-hybrid soldiers threaten the tenuous peace alliance between Earth and Luna, Iko takes it upon herself to hunt down the soldiers’ leader. She is soon working with a handsome royal guard who forces her to question everything she knows about love, loyalty, and her own humanity. With appearances by Cinder and the rest of the Rampion crew, this is a must-have for fans of the bestselling series.
Why I’m Flailing
MORE LUNAR CHRONICLES YES PLEASE GIMME RIGHT NOW.
In case you haven’t heard, I’m kind of obsessed with the that series (like I’m contemplating my 3rd re-read of the complete series in a year – NOT I AM NOT JOKING THIS IS WHAT AUDIOBOOKS ARE FOR). I absolutely love it. I refuse to read Stars Above because I don’t want it to be over…AND NOW IT ISN’T.
Iko is easily one of my favorite characters in the series (and I have a sneaking suspicion who the “handsome guard” is and it will make me SO HAPPY if I’m right). And I can’t wait to see the all of the characters in the flesh, so to speak. Mainly Thorne, because I’m a crazy fangirl. But all of these characters that I’ve come to know and love.
Basically, more Lunar Chronicles makes me a happy fangirl and I need it now.
